Program Overview: Greaux Healthy’s School Health Program provides faculty and staff with evidence-based best practices, empowering professionals with the knowledge and resources to support children and families in nutrition education and health promotion. Health promotion units offer lessons and student activity books that are aligned with Louisiana Student Standards for ELA, Health, and Physical Education standards and grade level expectations for integration into existing curricula.

Greaux Healthy’s Community Action Projects offer financial support to schools for implementing the School Health Program. As early adopters, you'll receive up to $2,000, technical assistance, professional development, and copies of the resources and materials.

Answers will be used to help select 20 schools for the upcoming school year.

Definitions for Guidance:

School Wellness Committee: A group of school staff, parents, and community members dedicated to creating a healthy school environment. The committee helps plan, promote, and support activities that enhance student well-being, such as physical activity and nutrition programs.

School Champion: A designated staff member or leader who advocates for wellness initiatives within the school. This individual coordinates activities, engages the school and community, and ensures health-related programs are effectively implemented.
