Jamie Burham, MHA

Program Manager 3

With a relentless passion for fitness and health, Jamie Burham has propelled herself to the forefront of the Southern Louisiana fitness industry. While attending high school in the region, she was a decorated student-athlete and her passion for fitness drove her to the Kinesiology Department of Louisiana State University where she earned her undergraduate degree.

She spent time volunteering during her university education striving to improve child development and learn how to deliver human touch in the clinical setting. Following Jamie’s Bachelor’s education at Louisiana State University, Jamie sought to better understand leadership and further her career with a Master’s in Health Administration.  She has applied her education to 19+ years in the fitness industry while sitting on the Pennington Planning Committee for Women’s Health, participating in Path to Excellence Leadership Development Program, and gaining certifications with the Medical Fitness Association, Idea Fitness Association, the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Jamie was a 2017 recipient of the Best of Lafourche Excellence in Healthcare award as well as the 2017 recipient of the Marla Richmond award in Medical Fitness Association.

Respected for her humble character and genuine compassion for everyone she works with, Jamie strives to exemplify what it means to be a well-rounded leader and contributor to the fitness industry. Jamie is an ambassador for overall health and wellness shown through her passion as a fitness professional who is dedicated to helping others achieve their goals in fitness where it be prevention and promotion or recovery. Jamie is truly passionate about health, the human body and the ability to utilize science to better those around her.
